Most people in America, almost regardless of their age, recognise the names of Nat "King" Cole and Will Rogers.
Nat "King" Cole started his career as a piano player, not a singer. One night in San Francisco, the singer in their ensemble came down with a sore throat.
The small club owner proclaimed that if there was no singer, there would be no paycheck. That night Nat "King" Cole became a singer.
Will Rogers was a genuine cowboy and became famous as a trick rope artist. The first five years of his nightclub appearances, he just performed his rope tricks.
Then, one night, someone shouted a question to him, and his response brought a burst of laughter. Will Rogers, the humorist, was on his way.
Chances are good that you can neither carry a tune nor do rope tricks, but just as these two men had undeveloped talents inside of them, I'm convinced you, too, have unseen, untapped, unused abilities.
