The Real Secret of Consistency: Showing up when you feel underqualified or below your standard.
There’s something sobering about showing up, especially when you feel underqualified or below your standard. But what if the secret isn’t about always being at your peak, but being present.
Quote:
“Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.”
1 Corinthians 15:58
One secret of consistency, that should be repeated over and over, is:
Consistency is not about being perfect, but being present and giving your all.

Not always the best you have ever done, but the best you can put it in now.
I have missed, fallen below benchmarks, my benchmark, society benchmark, but all in all, I come out proud because I know I did all I could ever do at that present time.
So, failure rarely grips me or causes me to quit.
I am not here to resound to you, common, popular wisdom of just showing up carelessly or hazardously, but actually beating the expectation of your body and mind at that present moment.
Show up, always try to show up, and when you do, put in 110%, not of what society has measured, not of what you have achieved, but of what you know you can presently achieve.
And that can be 60% of the benchmark or 250% of the benchmark, but you know you are always putting on your best. That's the rule of the game and the mindset you need.
Paul didn't say "always perfect in the work of the Lord." He said "always abounding".
Here is the secret that changes everything: do not comparing yourself with others, your past, or even your future. But comparing yourself with your present. Quality consistency is about showing up every day and doing all in your power to be the best you can.
What’s Your Thought?
What would "just showing up" look like today?
Where have you let imperfection become an excuse for absence?
How would your life change if you stopped comparing your efforts with your peak and started regarding your present effort with grace?
