Our Friday’s Disscussion
Hey there! This is another Friday, and in our Friday discussion I want to explore: how we perceive the knowledge of others and the wisdom in learning beyond our own experiences. Ready to dive in?
In our today’s world where there is abundance of information, we are often feed with endless insights and advice, that often dispute with our experiences. But just because an information, advice or teaching doesn’t fit our current phase doesn’t mean it lacks relevance or meaning.
We have to first understand that our lives are in stages and phases, a body of knowledge may we require us to evolve before we can understand it or see it’s importance. Just as we are taught in stages in a class room or school system, it is wisdom to recognize where you are in your journey and learning accordingly.
It's easy to become defensive when confronted with new ideas, but true growth comes from considering different perspectives. Learn to weigh various forms of knowledge and apply them where they fit your unique circumstances. Every bit of knowledge serves a purpose, even if it isn’t directly applicable to your current situation.
💡 Let’s also take note: wandering between different teachings without structure leads to confusion. To truly grow, you must seek organized learning tailored to your current phase and future goals. Experience is one teacher, but it’s not the only one. Learning requires openness and structure.
WHAT'S YOUR THOUGHT:
Have you ever dismissed a piece of knowledge because it didn’t resonate with your experience at the time?
How do you discern when knowledge is relevant to your current stage in life?
What strategies do you use to keep learning without letting ego get in the way?
