MY RANDOM THOUGHT: FACING FEAR
Good day, welcome to a new week. What’s that number one thing you have been delaying or scared to face, today is the right time to start. Trust me, now is right!
When we talk about "facing your fears," we easily think of someone running headfirst into danger or conflict, overcoming it in one dramatic act of bravery. However, the true process of facing fear doesn’t always look like that. It’s more internal, more calculated, and far more personal. It’s not about being reckless or ignoring the risks. Instead, it's about understanding your fear, learning from it, and preparing yourself mentally, emotionally, and spiritually to deal with it.
But before taking action, it’s essential we sit understand and discover where the fear is rooted from. What is it that truly frightens you? Most times our fear are just internal, built up in our minds. But whether it’s abstract or it’s real, here are some probing questions to dissolve part of the fear:
Why am I scared?
What is the worst possible outcome?
What steps can I take to reduce the risks?
Next even after proper analysis, eliminating it does not ultimately bring or builds courage. Which courage largely comes from within rather than having all facts. So, one highly recommended way is to take time to meditate, pray, or spiritually reflect on what it means to be courageous, how you would react in those situtation. Having a firm internal resolve helps you stand firm, even when the situation turns against you.
So we know, facing fear isn’t jumping into the deep end without thought. Instead, once a proper background work and war as been conquered, then we can approach the situation with preparation and a plan. Knowing what to do when fear tries to take control gives you an advantage. You’ve already thought about the worst-case scenarios, and now you can choose to pursue or let go with confidence on why, knowing you're prepared for any outcome.
💡 By breaking down our fear, we reduce its power over us. Fears often grow in the dark within us, but once dealt by proper illumination with knowledge & reasoning, we can see every situation for what it really is, nothing but dust before kings and queens, like you & I.
