Day 06: Power Over Sin
The effect of sin is great. And it's not just judgement of God, but the bondage to live a life controlled by an external force
Verse:
For you know that you were not redeemed from useless [spiritually unproductive] way of life inherited [by tradition] from your forefathers with perishable things like silver and gold, but [you were actually purchased] with precious bloos, like that of a [sacrificial] lamb unblemished and spotless, the priceless blood of Christ.
1 Peter 1:18-19
50DOR: Power over Sin
Day 6, 44 days to 2025. God is still able to do more for us.
Many times we forget the effect of the death of Jesus over the power of sin. Partly because we fail to recognize the effect of sin over a man's life. Sin by all definition is the degradation of a man's worth and identity. As much as sin displeases God, the major effect is on human. Sin makes a ridicule of who you are and can become.
Sin is the basis for a dishonest and broken society. We can choose to acknowledge it or not, but when you sit to think of an ideal society you would like: It's one where Integrity, Trust and Love guide and protect the society and it's individuals.
The grand issue is that sin is not a choice, but a force. The acts men commit is beyond their self-worth or self identity, but the force keeps pulling them and they know it, that's what brings a regret and a reciprocal of consciousness.
🚀 As a believer, there is power won by Christ over the nature of sin. You are free not just to live an empowered life, but to live and choose your behaviour and action. This is true freedom, don't loss it.
