Day 05: Discovery of Potential II
"How do I discover my purpose?" - The one common question, but rather should we not focus on how do we live our values and potentials. Let's dive in.
Verse:
Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.
Ecclesiastics 9:10
45 Days to 2025! I hear people ask: "How do I discover my purpose?". Truly, it's a complicated process, not because the answer is difficult to say, but because the man is difficult to become.
Potential rest inside each one of us and these potentials are in their raw and early stage. When we talk about potential in relation with purpose, we do not talk about skills or talent, rather we talk about the possibility to create or innovate - to make into existence something that is not yet there.
It's seemingly clear no one is born a pilot, doctor, or engineer. Yes, you show signs, but you can't decide at age 12: to ride a plane, perform a surgery, or build a car. At least without adequate practice and knowledge.
So, also in the aspect of purpose and potential, you can't identify your purpose without repeated case or show of incompetence. But here, the man seeking is asking for a spot of convenience to a one perfect skill, talent or occupation.
And I will say to him, Whatsoever your hands find to do, do it. The more you act/work, the more you discover who you are. And the more you discover who you are, the more you realize what you are capable. But don't be scared to change.
🚀 Remember: Moses, David, Elisha, Ezekiel were all in common trade work (shepherding) before being called or discovering to their assignment. Jesus was a carpenter at age 29 before "purpose", He called men that were in day trading or work. So, there is no crime in putting your hand to work. Develop yourself with the right values and character, that's what prepares you for "purpose".
